When and how did you start practicing yoga?

Both of my parents are yogis, so I’ve been around yoga since age 12 or so! I fell in love with a regular practice in college and while working a high-stress job post-college.

How has it helped you grow as a person?

Yoga taught me to love every moment for what it is. It has helped me get past certain challenges and learn to accept that I may always struggle with other ones. Yoga has also brought me an incredible community and friendships in Charlotte.

What should students expect from your class?

A creative, meditative practice that is physically challenging and speaks to the heart.

Be Yoga has a number of class styles. Which is your favorite, and why?

I absolutely LOVE practicing all of them and they all contribute to a full, rich practice for me 🙂 Slow Flow is my favorite to teach because I feel it gives me the most creative freedom.

What do you like to do when you’re not doing Yoga?

Running, spending time with Lani (my dog), trying new restaurants/spots and learning anything new!
