When and how did you start practicing yoga?
I was first introduced to yoga at the age of 15 by my mother who was a yoga teacher at the time. Growing up as a dancer, I quickly fell in love with the flow of the yoga practice. Soon after, yoga became my newfound passion and it has positively influenced my life both on and off the mat.

How has it helped you grow as a person?
I have found that yoga keeps me present in the moment. I enjoy staying busy but I also feel as if I am running around all of the time. Therefore, yoga has really helped me to stay balanced. It helps me to take a break from the outside world and find time to focus on the present. Learning to breathe and enjoy the simple things in life is how yoga has shaped my life today.

What should students expect from your class?
My powerful flow yoga classes are physically challenging yet link the body, breath and soul. I always encourage my students to listen to their bodies and move in a way that feels most natural. I also truly enjoy creating invigorating and inspirational playlists to enhance the experience, balance the mind, and make my students leave feeling completely rejuvenated!

Be Yoga has a number of class styles. Which is your favorite, and why?
If I had to pick one style of yoga I would say powerful flow. I love the challenge of balancing quick movements with the breath. However, I think it is important to practice a variety of styles at the same time. Some days I find that I need a gentle deep stretch class rather than a fast-paced powerful class. Because of this, I like to switch it up based on what my body needs!

What do you like to do when you’re not doing Yoga?
I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy being outside in nature and traveling the world!
